Everyone’s always like, “OMG, his flailing arms. It was so adorkable and awkward…he is so bad with kissing! lol”
From what I saw, he spent the entire first half of the kiss totally into it, just working it: his hand on her shoulder, his head moving hers back and forth, clearly tonguing her down. It was only when River pulled him forcefully into her body that his arms started flailing.
Jeez…People are acting like he didn’t know what the fuck to do the entire way through. He was handling it and then she surprised him by pulling him forward. It was like he had to remind himself to be awkward.
I don’t understand why people keep thinking the Doctor is so passive when it comes to the sexuality and flirtation between them. I’m not saying he’s Lothario when it comes to sex but he’s not an idiot. He starts their flirt sessions just as often as River does and he always gives as good as he gets from her.
I shouldn’t follow the tag ‘River Song’.
The Doctor didn’t marry River because he HAD TO. HOW MANY TIMES do I have to say it? Did he figure out that he will eventually? Probably since the beginning. Does it mean he married her because he had marry her in her past? NO. So what, he knew it was meant to happen, but why would it mean that he doesn’t love her? I’m sure his firsts thought were : ‘Oh ok apparently I’m going to marry this woman, so it means I will never love her because I don’t have the choice’. WTF?! Don’t you think that he may had think something like ‘I’m probably going to love her, THEREFORE I will marry her?’ Did he marry her the next time he met her? ‘Let’s do it even if I don’t want to because anyway I don’t have the choice’. He didn’t consider himself as a victim of the fate or something. He just had a peak of what was MAYBE coming for him. He didn’t know why, he didn’t know how, when, where it was going to happen.
And he took his time, A LOT of time, to figure out if she was good or bad, to begin to TRUST her, to accept that he was attracted by her - and actually I think that he was resisting to it - and then to finally love her. He just loves her in a way you can’t understand. In an alien way. In a Time-Lord way.
Now look, there are 3 things that matter in the Doctor’s life. His TARDIS, his companions (human beings) and the Time lords. Noooow, let’s think about who and what River Song is.
She’s Amy and Rory’s daughter. She’s not a full-time companion, but she spent at least 200 years - from his point of view - (!!) meeting the Doctor.
She has Time-Lord DNA. She is strong as a Time-Lord, she’s intelligent as a Time-Lord, she even could regenerate BEFORE SHE GAVE THE DOCTOR ALL HER REMAINING LIVES.
She is the Child of the TARDIS. She is the closest thing to a ‘living’ or at least ‘concrete’ incarnation of the TARDIS.
Now tell me that the Doctor married her only because he hadn’t the choice.
You may hate River yourself, it doesn’t mean the Doctor doesn’t love her.
GUYS,
I’m like MEGA inspired for a video. Gosh I must not screw up this one. It will be the video of my life. My master piece. I’ll spent weeks on it if I have to.
And as usual, I will lost my inspiration one hour after I started the video…
And I actually liked it. I love how unhealthy it is. I think that to really apreciate Twilight you have to forget who wrote it. Then it becomes interesting.
And honestly *spoilers here* I kind of love Jacob imprinting on Renesmée.
- He’s incredibly awkward.
- He’s a genius.
- His personality is quirky and silly.
- He can be cheeky at times.
- He, even if unintentionally, flirts back with her.
- He travels through time and space with her.
- He’s always there for her.
- When they first met, he knew every thing about her.
- Even if he doesn’t always say it, he loves her back.
